Rachel Nicholson is a mom of 2 and a passionate advocate with over 18 years of experience in the Special Education field, including more than 15 years as a teacher and administrator in New York State. She is deeply committed to advancing equity and inclusion, ensuring all students and their families have access to the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.

With dual Master’s degrees in Special Education and Childhood Education, COPAA SEAT 1.0 Training, and certification in School and Building Leadership, Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her advocacy work.

Becca is a passionate educator with over a decade of experience in early childhood and special education. Originally from Maryland, she moved to Colorado in 2018, where she has taught in a variety of settings including autism classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one instruction. Becca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master’s in Special Education from Loyola University Maryland. She is Colorado READ Act certified and trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, with additional expertise in supporting English Language Learners and students who have experienced trauma.

Brett is a committed special education advocate with 19 years of experience supporting students, families, and schools. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Taylor University, a master’s degree and Educational Specialist degree in school psychology from Ball State University, and a Director of Exceptional Needs license through Indiana University. Drawing on extensive experience in educational evaluations, school psychology, and district administration, Brett helps families navigate special education with a focus on the skills that matter most for lifelong outcomes.

As both an educator and a father of four boys—including one with Down syndrome—Brett understands the profound impact that educational decisions have on a child, their family, and their future. His professional expertise, combined with his personal experience as a parent, shapes a practical and compassionate approach to advocacy. He is committed to helping families build strong partnerships with schools, make informed decisions, and create meaningful opportunities for their loved ones to thrive.

Stevi is a mom to a little girl, accomplished advocate, and special educator with over 14 years in her field. Throughout her career, she has analyzed and synthesized academic and behavioral data into actionable steps to inform strategic improvements for student educational experiences. She is deeply committed to building a bridge between school and home and empowering families to be able to confidently advocate for their child to promote excellent educational outcomes.
